Why won't Amazon accept my review?

We occasionally hear from members that when trying to review a book on Amazon, they see one of the following messages informing them that they are unable to leave a review:

"Amazon has noticed unusual reviewing activity on this product.
Due to this activity, we have limited this product to verified purchase reviews"

"To contribute to Customer features (for example, Customer Reviews, Customer Questions,
Customer Answers, Idea Lists) or to follow other contributors, you must have spent at least
$50 on Amazon.com using a valid credit or debit card in the past 12 months.*"

*You'll find more information on the $50 spending minimum in the "Who can participate" section of Amazon's Community Guidelines.

We are aware of the issues and review restrictions that Amazon has put in place, and we are keeping an eye on how this is affecting our members. Sadly, we do not have any insight or influence on Amazon's review policy and have been suggesting that members continue to post on NetGalley and other social media and retail sites in the meantime.
