Librarians can nominate books for the LibraryReads List via NetGalley! NetGalley collects nominations, and submits them to LibraryReads for consideration each month.
To access this feature you need to be registered as a Librarian in the US, have your Library Type filled in, and be approved or invited to view the book you'd like to nominate on NetGalley.
To nominate a book, click the “Give Feedback” button from the book page or on your Shelf. Once you're on the Opinions page click "Yes" (as seen below) to nominate the book for the LibraryReads list.
You do not need to add a Review/Annotation for your nomination to count, but LibraryReads would appreciate it if you can. To add an annotation, please submit it as a Review (you will automatically be brought to the Review page once you submit your nomination). LibraryReads advises, "Write conversationally, as though you were talking about a favorite book with a patron or colleague at the library, or with a friend. Use your own voice."
When submitting a nomination, please note that you are consenting to your email address in your NetGalley account being shared with LibraryReads*.
Per LibraryReads "Please note that we reserve the right to edit annotations for publication. A member of our editing team will reach out to you to confirm your information and obtain your approval of edits. Your annotation will appear on the LibraryReads website, printable materials, social media, and may appear on publisher communications."
*If your email address is marked as Private within your NetGalley profile, a member of the NetGalley team will reach out to you directly to ask your permission to share your email address with LibraryReads.
