Let publishers know that you are a member of ALIA, to make it easier for publishers to approve your requests.
Librarians who are members of the Australian Library and Information Association can add their ALIA number to their NetGalley profile. When you request books on NetGalley, publishers will see an ALIA logo under your name, allowing them to easily identify you as a confirmed ALIA member. Librarians who enter their ALIA numbers are generally approved more quickly and often.
To add your ALIA number, sign into your NetGalley account, and go to your Profile by clicking on your name at the top of the screen.
Scroll to the first section under your name where you see "Librarian" listed, and click "EDIT" to the right of the screen to enter your ALIA number, then click "SAVE." Your number will then be validated by our system and you should see the ALIA logo in your account (and publishers will also start seeing this logo when you request their books).
*You will be able to enter your ALIA number in the Profile as long as you are located in Australia and your member type is “Librarian.” The number must be valid in order to be saved.
