How can I speed up the time it takes to download a book to Adobe Digital Editions?

Though the downloading speed of a book is very dependent on the size of the file, more heavily formatted files (such as cookbooks, comics, graphic novels, photography books, etc.) can contain a lot of images and formatting can increase the file size, which may cause the downloading process to take a few minutes.

One thing you can do to ensure your files download faster is to:

  1.   Go to your Documents folder on your computer

2.   Click on the My Digital Editions folder

3.  Delete all unwanted files from that folder (any files you're done using)

This will free up some space on your hard-drive and allow incoming files to download much quicker. If you do this every once in a while, when you find you've downloaded a number of files, you'll see faster downloads.
