If your company is already producing ONIX, all you need to do is arrange for the ONIX feed to be pushed to your existing NetGalley ftp account, in the folder labeled “_INBOX”. This is a folder that will be used for metadata, images and content. Your ONIX feed will be automatically delivered to the ftp account on a regular basis, usually once or twice a week.
- To ensure that we can troubleshoot any problems with your ONIX, we also request that you deliver a test file to the top level (or home directory) of your ftp account. This is a one-time delivery only, for testing purposes.
- We would like to receive ONIX updates to existing titles, not just new titles. This will allow us to keep the NetGalley title record up-to-date.
- If it’s not possible to set up an automated full ONIX feed, you can also transfer individual ONIX files to your NetGalley “_INBOX” folder in your ftp account as they are available.
- We will be processing ONIX files nightly. For automated feeds, we recommend delivering files to us between 5 and 11 pm EST. File processing will begin each night at midnight, EST. Files that are not fully received by 11 pm EST may not be processed until the following night.
Please email us at email@example.com if you would like us to resend the username and password for your ftp account.
