When editing your book's Title Information page, you're given the option to add Marketing Information about your book.
Here you will find sections for adding Advanced Praise, Marketing Plans, Notes, Links, and Press Kit files.
The advance praise section can be used to promote any blurbs or quotes you've received about your title from outside of NetGalley.
Use the Marketing Plan section to add information traditionally included on the front or back of a printed galley, such as:
- First print run
- Author tour information
- Promotional plans
- Social media promotions
Use the Notes section for NetGalley-specific messages to our reader community. For example:
- If you are approving requests for one specific member type or territory
- If you are looking for immediate feedback for the title via NetGalley
- If the author will be conducting a blog tour or bookstore tour, and you are looking for venues.
Any information that can benefit the professional reader community as they consider whether or not to request your title can be added to this section.
If the section is left blank, it will not appear to readers.
Our members report that they often look for background material and additional information about a title when they are requesting or reviewing. You can use the Links section to provide them with that information. Add links to your author website, your book's Goodreads page, or where it can be purchased online.
The Press Kit section of the TITLE DETAILS page allows you to add press releases, author photos, marketing materials, videos, and more to enhance your NetGalley title record.
The Press Kit is only visible to members approved to view the title, so this is a great place to put industry-specific materials such as author Q & A, educator guides, etc.
