With the “Download” Reading Option, you have the ability to choose if the file will expire.
For ePub and PDF files protected with Adobe DRM:
- Members will not be able to print the file.
- The content cannot be copied.
- You can choose if the file will expire.
If you’ve enabled the Expiring License, the file will expire after 55 days for the individual member, but the member can download a new file to their device, which will be available for another 55 days if the publisher has not archived the book in NetGalley.
Alternatively, if you’ve enabled the Permanent License, the individual member will have the file on their device permanently.
In order to view the title, members must log in to NetGalley and download the file. They can then access the file through Adobe Digital Editions and/or on their compatible device, even if they are not logged in or do not have Internet/wireless access.
Readers must have downloaded Adobe Digital Editions (free) and authorized it to their Adobe ID for all devices except Kindle. Click here for a look at the full list of Adobe-supported devices.
