In the Home section (iOS and Android) you'll see several carousels that will populate according to your actions:
What you’ll see on the Home screen
- Currently playing: Displays the audiobook you are currently playing or is paused
- Expiring soon: Displays books that are expiring in the next 7 days
- Recently read: Displays books and audiobooks that have been downloaded and read, including your progress as a percentage
- Recently added: Displays books and audiobooks downloaded in the last 7 days, but not yet opened or read
- NetGalley Shelf: Displays books you've been approved to access through NetGalley, that are currently available to download or stream.
How the NetGalley Shelf Section works
All books and audiobooks you’ve been approved for will appear in the NetGalley Shelf section on the Home screen until they are archived. This section displays every book that is available to download within the Shelf app, regardless of whether you have already downloaded it to your device.
Once a book or audiobook is archived, it is removed from this section because it is no longer available to download. If it has already been downloaded to your device, you will still see it in the My Books section (and be able to read/listen to it there) until it expires or you delete it from the app.
